"Safety Sub-team of the Week" - January 12, 2009
As many of you are already aware, the Safety division of the Competition Team is pleased to announce a new safety activity for Team 48. In the tradition of FIRST's "Safety Star of the Day" award, we have created the "Safety Sub-team of the Week" award. This award will recognize one of our sub-teams each week throughout the build season who we feel has best demonstrated safe work habits in and around our project areas (wood/metal shop, computer labs, etc...)

This team consistently kept a clean and organized work area and also respected the housekeeping and safety rules of other sub-team areas that they may have visited. This team's strong values in keeping their work area functional and efficient earned the respect of anyone entering their world.

Congratulations to the winner of the first Team 48 "Safety Sub-team of the Week" awards. The Robot Design Team.

Build Team Update January 5th
Welcome back from our nice two week break, hope you all got plenty of rest; however, we are back in school. It is now time to start the brand new season of robotics. It is a good thing we all got plenty of rest because we have six weeks to build the robot so it is time to get started.
Paul lam is back to train us on how to use the CNC; however, he will only be here for one more week to train those of you who wish to run the CNC mill. Now is be the best time to come in and learn how to use it.
