walk/bike-a-thon
Delphi E.L.I.T.E. kicked off their annual walk/bike-a-thon on Saturday November 15. Due to bad weather, it was held indoors, with out the use of bikes. To make sure the people who pledged weren’t still giving the said amount for a shorter distance we measured it out to where 3 of the laps indoors was one lap outside. We had 13 participants with a total of 758 (or 253) laps, raising $250. The money went to the robotics team to help pay off the members fees. Every member of the team has a fee of $150 that is needed to go on trips and join in on activities. The highest amount of money earned on Saturday was 34 dollars; with the least, $6.

Build Team Update 12-19-08
Thank you to everyone that has been showing up for training in the shop. The build team has been learning to use the equipment that we will be using once the build season starts. CNC training, with Paul Lam, will continue once we get back from Christmas break.

Kickoff is coming very soon and we'll get started on the robot build. Make sure you get some good rest because we hit the ground running on January 3rd. We will then lock you in the workshop until the ship date. OK. maybe we won't lock you in, but it may seem like it.

Rest up and enjoy your Christmas!

Build Team Update 12-15-08
Thanks to all the build team members that have been showing up after school. It’s very important that the build team members get into the shop before January so you can be more useful when the season officially starts.

The Christmas village looks great and Wednesday at 3:00pm the tribune would like the people who worked on it to be downtown so they can get some pictures of the village with the people who had helped in it's construction.

Anyone that wishes to learn how to run the CNC mill we will be having a class on how to use the CNC to the best of it abilities it this whole week. The class will be from 3:00pm to 5:00pm if you wish to learn how control the CNC.

Look Out Below!wassat
Crawling to a floor near you! Hex bugs have made their way back to Harding’s robotics team. These plastic-techno creatures make a better pest than most bugs you may think of. Squirming in at $10.00 per bot, Christmas this year might come to an affordable convenience. A good pet for your little brother or sister as it interacts with loud sounds and touch. Perhaps your parents might need an office desk companion. Last minute shoppers can pick one up from room 2477 or one of our active robotics’ members.

Build Team update 12-06-08
Thanks to all the build team members that have been showing up after school. We still need to see a few more of the unknown faces. It’s very important that the build team members get into the shop before January so you can be more useful when the season officially starts.

For you younger team members that are working on the T-bolts, that we are creating to help us learn the metal shop equipment, keep up the good work They're looking great

The Christmas village looks very good. It will go up today before the festivities start. A big thank you goes out to all of those who helped us put the village together and string up the lights.

Christmas Village
At Christmas time each year, the City of Warren gathers together to celebrate the season by lighting a Christmas tree, singing great carols, and ice skating on the square. It's called Caroling on the Square, and if you've attended this event, you know that some very special props have been strategically placed on the square to help everyone get into the Christmas Spirit.
