Adopt-a-Highway and Halloween Parade
Two very important events coming up this weekend!

Delphi E.L.I.T.E. will be cleaning up our 2-mile stretch of St. Rt. 305 in Champion on Sunday, October 26th at 9:00am. It's really a fun time and can be relatively quick with participation from all team members. The team will meet at the bicycle trail-head on St. Rt. 305 just 1 mile east of St. Rt. 45. Make sure you dress warmly, and if you're afraid to touch garbage, bring gloves or other things that might aid you in the process (rakes, grabbers, pointed stick, etc.).

Also, our team is participating in Warren's Halloween parade. If you're particpating in the parade, meet at the metal shop's garage doors at 11:15am on Sunday, October 26th, and don't forget your costume!

Welcome 2901!!
We'd like to take this opportunity to welcome another new FRC team to the area: Team 2901 out of Maplewood High School. They will primarily be working with our NEOFRA partner, Team 2010. They will also be attending the Buckeye Regional with us in the upcoming competition season.

That now makes a total of 6 NEOFRA teams at Buckeye--should be an exciting event!

Good luck to Team 2901 in their rookie season!!!

Delphi E.L.I.T.E. Exposed - Get the real dirt on 48 and FIRST!
We all know about the obvious things we do as members of Team 48 - design and build robots, fundraise, go to competitions, etc. But how many of you, especially newer team members, REALLY know what the FIRST program is about? How many understand the most important goals team mentors set for the students of Delphi E.L.I.T.E.?

I invite all of you to go beyond the bots, the competitions, and the awards and discover why we all truly do this - why the mentors volunteer for this program and what we all know students can achieve as energetic, enthusiastic, contributing members of the team - please visit http://team48.neofra.com to learn more.

Why pay for college? FIRST has tons of scholarships for engineering minded students as well as a few other types of scholarships. This year, FIRST has compiled a list of 550 individual scholarships valued at $9.7 million in total.
