Team News
Welcome 2835!!!
We'd like to take this opportunity to welcome a new FRC team to the area: Team 2835 out of Liberty High School in Liberty Township of Trumbull County near Youngstown (not to be confused with our good friends, Team 1038, the Thunderhawks, who reside in Liberty Township of Butler County, Ohio). Our Core Team has already been meeting with their leadership to help them prepare for their new endeavor. As of now, they will be attending the Buckeye Regional with us in the upcoming competition season.
In order to get their students fired up about FIRST and inspire them to join the new team, we will be attending an assembly on Tuesday, October 7, at Liberty High School. We will be participating with our NEOFRA partners (Teams 276, 379, and 2010) to show them a sample of past competitions and demonstrate some of our robots.
Good luck to Team 2835 in their rookie season!!!
Tentative Regional Schedule
Here it is ladies and gentlemen. It's our 2009 planned FRC event schedule as decided by the core team.
This upcoming year we have decided to attend the Buckeye, Pittsburgh,
and Connecticut Regionals. We also hope to register and compete in Atlanta, GA at the FIRST World Championship Event.
Week 1: Buckeye (Cleveland, OH)
Week 3: Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA)
Week 5: Connecticut (Hartford, CT, with possible side trip to NYC)
I hope you all like the choices.

Delphi E.L.I.T.E. from a rookie's perspective
It all began in a first semester morning health class of my eleventh grade year with Mrs. Christman. As I got to know her and the semester continued, Mrs. Christman suggested that I join the Robotics team. Robotics was something that I had previously heard about, but, without learning more, decided it was not something that I was currently interested in. She proceeded on by telling me about all the fantastic experiences they have, but I was simply not convinced. I thought, “…Yeah right, like I could ever build or operate a robot!” I also thought that would be the end of it but, to my surprise, this was not nearly the end of Mrs. Christman’s “suggestions”. Her persistence grew greater. It seemed that from that point forward, every time I ran into her, the badgering began. In fact, I told her three times that I would not join the team. However, I ultimately gave into her persuasions and joined in November of my senior year.
